What are the proper rings and base for Remington 700 with Nikon Monarch Scope?
I recently purchased a Remington 700 oversee model and a Nikon Monarch X Scope 2.5-10x44 IR Mil-Dot scope. I was wondering what kind of base and rings I would need.
DAVID S HAS IT Fairly. STICK WITH STEEL RINGS FOR THIS BASE. AND HAVE IT ALL INSTALLED BY A GOOD GUNSMITH.
IF YOU START THROWING SHOTS , Almost imperceptible DOWN AND LET IT COOL SOME . IF YOU'RE STILL THROWING SHOTS AND IT WAS ALL MOUNTED CORRECTLY YOU ARE CAUSING THE MISSES , CUZ THIS IS A FOOL PROOF SET-UP.
I have Warne rings and bases on my 700. All steel construction far wiser than aluminium.
