Are Prakticar / Pentacon lenses compatible with any other brand's digital SLR camera?

My Praktica BC1 image came with zoom and wide angle lenses. They have M42 x 1 thread and I would like to use them with a new Digital SLR camera. Do any of the today's Digital SLR cameras (Canon, Minolta, Sony, etc) have the same thread, and so may be compatible with the lenses I have? Thank you.

No DSLR is successful to have such a lens mount; indeed, the last new film cameras with this lens mount were made about 35 years ago.

You can get lens adapters. I use an EOS-to-M42 adapter on my Canon DSLRs so I can use my 1960s Pentax screwmount lenses on them. Accessories, too, like closeup extensiveness tubes. All the usual things apply: manual focus, stop-down metering, a focal after a long time factor, if applicable.

A good lens will take good pictures on a DSLR. A DSLR will also show you exactly how bad a bad lens is.

Can anyone grass on me where in Australia I might get it fixed?
I live in Tasmania near Hobart.

y'recollect, camera repairs are hard to find, my lovely and talented wife had her camera in a shop for a year, before i eventually went there and got her camera from them and raised a little #ell with them for not fixing the camera. i then took it to a little mom and pop camera research that was run by a little old man and his little old wife, they had a display of old (and some not so little) cameras in the front of the shop, that old man had the camera working ripping in two weeks (took that long to get the part in, he had to really look, but he did what was necessary)... i don't know about your side of the world, but i gave you a top perhaps one of my contacts on that side of the planet will see it and respond. it is hard to find good camera repair anymore.
