The sinking of Russian submarine Kursk?

This is in regards to the upshot of the Russian submarine Kursk, that sunk during a naval exercise which tuck place in the bearing sea, date 2000. It was Russia's first naval exersicse since the disintegration of the Soviet Union, as a result three curiuos nato subs sneaked into these waters to spy on the event, being on freedom's side i embrace to use the term observe the Russians, they included uss memphis, uss toledo and a british submarine. The explsion tuck locate just around the time Kursk fired a dummy tarpedo at the Russian battle group substituting for the Americans.
What do you into happened? There are a number of theroies behind it, a) that a poorly maintained torpedo exploded which led to its sinkage. b) that the uss memphis collided with Kursk while shadowing it. c) that another nato sub collided with kursk dolorous her. d) that uss memphis fired upon kursk. e) other, explain what.
I generally believe answer a, but what do you believe happened?
i did consent that the russian navy found a stress boy in the area which is fired when a the us sub is in stress. What stree could taht have been, it also believed it had arrived in a norweigen military dockyard to recieve repairs the next day. Theres also another theory that the uss memphis was acclimatized as a decoy, for the uss toledo to limp back to america to recieve damage repairs. Is it really true that an ametrican came in to injury repairs around this time?
I had a professor who worked for the defense turn on and he said that the day the sinking happened an American submarine came in with some collision damage. I would have to go with the collision theory.

Why do the Russians oppose a US missile defense system?

If the USA was booming to attack and conquer Russia they would have done it at their most vulnerable moment. Which was during the total collapse of the Soviet Union and when it lost its iron authority on its occuppied sattelite neighbors. The once fearsome Soviet military has been laughable these past 15 years. Their warships rusting, their submarines dejected, their tanks broken down and useless, and the officers corruptly stealing and selling junk weapons. It indeed is silly that they oppose the missile defenses now, after the USA has so strongly demonstrated that they have no bad intentions. So why do you suppose they are behaving this way?
Because the why and wherefore why the US is putting the missile shield in Europe is because of the threat from Iran, and where do you think Iran gets most of its Techno for missiles from ?? Russia.

The assumption underlying the atomic standoff between Russia and the US is that neither country will attack the other because they will be attacked and destroyed in turn. If one country develops a projectile shield, they can then attack the other country without fear of the consequences. Stationing nuclear missiles in Poland and edifice military bases in former Soviet republics in Central Asia is not the way to convince the Russians that we have no "bad intentions."
