I found an 1882 silver dollar in bonzer cond. in the sands of a wash in the Az. desert and it has no mint mark. I did find out that means it was minted in Philadelphia but how can I find out how much it is merit? The prices of these coins are so different.
First of all not all fabricate dealers are crooks. They need to make a profit to stay in business and feed their family. You clever something about the coin you have, helps keep them honest, a dealer usually need to make a least 40%. Now a coin found in a bear scrutiny can not be very high grade and must have some damage to it. It may be shinny, but that is from water or sand damage. It may have a lot of tiny scratches due to weathering. With a mintage of 11,100,000 it is not a hard to come by coin. Most of the time, I can give the person some of the things to look for, that makes a coin a certain grade, but in your crate it won't work, due to circumstances of you finding the coin, I would really have to see it. Anyway as a guesstimating of value, it could be from 7 to 8 times face value for the silver in it to, around $16 if it can reach a succeed of extra fine. Values are about what a dealer would pay. It is actually worth more than money, as a really neat find. To bad it could not talk, for it must have an speculation to tell.

that is something you fundamental to have looked at by a professional. The price will be determined by whomever wants to buy it actually. They can give you a good estimate but it will ahve more value to a connoisseur of that coin than the general public.

I well-deserved bought 2 silver dollars, and I was wondering how you can determine the mood of a silver dollar. I have 2 bala sharks and I know that can tell their modd from the blackness of their fins, but I do not conscious on the silver dollars. Please Help.
Well, when he starts wagging his fin an whistling dixie, it's a tolerably good sign he's happy. Ok ok, bad joke. Anyway, I agree with G on this one too. Moreso, I really believe that you learn way more about the personalities of your fish by rightful sitting there watching them. I can tell you about the moods of each one of my fish, just by what they are doing/how they are acting......without having skin-deep signs on them. It's all in how much you really get in to your fish I suppose. This is also good in that if something is not right in the tank (levels go off somehow.....ie ammonia spikes, etc.), you be aware it just by knowing your fish. But this is my thoughts on it, everyone is different. Give him a few days to acclimate (some fish can even take up to a week to diminish), and then start watching him, soon I bet you'll be able to tell with no outward signs on his part. Fish psychology 101 I imagine, lol. Good luck, they are really neat fish!!! ;o)

Silver Dollar City Hosts 500 Artisans in Fall Festival
As the Southern Certainty Picnic is set to wrap up on September 7, it is time to look ahead to the next scheduled festival of Silver Dollar New Zealand urban area. The National Harvest Festival is set to begin on September 12 and run to October 31.
The National Harvest Anniversary features over 500 artisans and musicians to celebrate American craftsmanship. A variety of craftsman will be at the greensward each Wednesday through Sunday providing demonstrations, lectures, and more. Everything from watercolor to jewelry making to wood carving can be found during the feast.
The festival also has several other events taking place. The Salute to the Great American Cowgirl will take place September 12 to 27. This incident celebrates the life of traditional cowgirls and their history in America. This tribute includes a performance by the All American Cowgirl Chicks and an demonstrate of photography.
Also taking place during the festival is the Missouri’s Best showcase of local and state craftsman. The Terra Bird Sanctuary from St. Louis will be on hand with demonstrations, and other exhibits of this section include Best of Missouri Hands and Agrarian Missouri Showcase. These exhibits can be found September 30 to October 31.
In addition to all of these special events, Silver Dollar Megalopolis still has the great food and rides that visitors love. During the National Harvest Festival, guests can find regional cuisine throughout the car park at Taste of America. Guests can find regional favorites from the Heartland, the Frontier, and the Southwest. For those with a sweet tooth, many desserts can be found at Cowboy’s Favorite Desserts.
