I have a 1885 Morgan Silver Dollar. The envelope says S1$ MS63. Can anyone explain what the S stands for? I seen other ones there that had an O instead of an S. What is the value of my cash. Thanks for your help!
1885 is not a rare escort for Morgan Dollars, unless it has a "CC" mintmark on the back below the eagle.
In circulated condition, it's worth about $12 -- a complex uncirculated one is worth about $35
If it has the "CC" mintmerk, it's worth at least $400
Mintmark: "S" (for San Francisco) unbefitting the bow on the reverse

the dollar i have is in euphonious good condition no real tarnish or anything.
It should be value about $185 - $200.
